Show the item as it is, with clear lighting and useful detail.

Find soft natural light

Place the item near a window or in outdoor shade. Clean the lens and avoid filters that alter colours. Keep the background tidy and check for faces, number plates, letters or screens showing personal information.

Use a small set of useful angles

Start with the whole item. Add sides, connections, relevant labels and accessories. For furniture, provide scale or dimensions in the description. Do not use catalogue pictures to conceal the real condition.

Show defects clearly

Photograph scratches, missing parts and wear in good light. Hide unnecessary identification details on labels. Keep original photos so you can answer follow-up questions accurately.
